The Fujitsu eBook When used with a separate memory card, the paperback-sized gadget dubbed the ‘FLEPia’ can store the equivalent of 5,000 conventional books. It weighs 385 grams, is 12.5 milimetres thick and has a 20-centimetre ‘electronic paper’ display that can show 260,000 colours.
Equipped with Bluetooth and high-speed wireless LAN, it can operate 40 hours when fully charged, the company said. Online sales began on Wednesday, priced at 99,750 yen (USD$1,000). The company aims to sell 50,000 units in two years in Japan alone.
The world of internet has made electronic books popular, with many individuals publishing their own ebook since it is very easy to compile your own book and create pdf files out of the content. There is no production costs of printing and hassle of distribution. We have even seen many popular magazines being published into electronic forms by Zinio
The launch of such physical electronic books by Fujitsu further highlight the growing importance and popularity of eBooks and that businesses especially publishers should seriously consider adapting to this new market trends. Anyone can learn how to create an Ebook easily and publish them in electronic format which can also be read in the new Fujitsu EBook!
