My Apple iPhone Complaints and Reviews:

Dont buy your iPhone just yet until Steve Jobs gets these right! Read these iPhone Complaints

After all the great reviews and watching the excellent iPhone video introduction from Apple’s corporate website. I decided to buy myself the iPhone and boy I was wrong! I have been a pocket PC phone user for years since the first O2 XDA came out and my last pocket PC phone is the HTC touch phone on windows mobile 5. If you are a pocket PC phone user, I will suggest you hold on to them as the iPhone can hardly replace the functions as yet.

iPhone is truly NOT built for phone users as I found out, many simple, standard functions of a pocket PC phones have been left out in the iPhone. These are the complaints I have about the iPhone:

1. The iPhone is built for touch hence there is no stylus to use for precise text editing like the pocket pc phone. You will have to double tap to magnify texts first before you can get to the precise characters.
2. In text editing, while you can select/highlight any amount of texts and words to edit or delete, I found that texts can only be edited or deleted character by character in the iPhone!
3. When searching for contacts, we could easily type any alphabets into pocket pc phone and the contacts with the nearest search will show. While on the iPhone, we can only search by scrolling which takes too much effort to find a contact directly.
4. When sending short texts messages (SMS) and emails, there is no function for “forwarding” or even copy & paste.
5. There is NO video capture in the iPhone! Some hackers have managed to change that but as for now, youcan only capture video for 5 seconds in the hack.
6. There is no character count function for SMS where in some countries SMS are still charged per 160 characters. There is an application developed by some hackers to solve this problem, but it is still buggy.
7. Although there are 8GB of space in iPhone, there is no external storage to use.
8. Last but not least, there are still NOT many optional applications for the iPhone compared to the pocket PC phone such as Roboform – password tool that every internet marketers use including me. I have the Roboform pocket PC edition that synchronize all my passwords and log in information to my windows mobile phone.
9. Many iPhones softwares, applications and downloads are built on the Safari browser, correct me if I am wrong, I think these Safari applications need to be connected to the internet for use. If that’s the case, then iPhone users in countries where mobile internet connections is still expensive will be complaining.

In summary, I found that the iPhone is really built for iPod users to upgrade to the iPhone as an all in one entertainment handheld device. There are many good features to use BUT if you have used a windows mobile device and use them like I do then you will relate to these iPhone Complaints.

However, If you can live with these iPhone complaints then go ahead and purchase your iPhone.
