I usually find the pop up toaster a bit of a challenge, but even I could follow your instructions.... Wavy video - Try it in the JVC< turn on the stabilizer.
Odds are the JVC will choke on this error, if the TBC fails.
Panasonic DVD recorder or VCR may help.
How many tapes have you got? Paying a restoration service may be more economical.

Use a good DVD recorder known to remove noise. Few do this, none are new in stores. Toshiba XS series, JVC 10/100/30/300/MV1/MV5 series.

Unfortunately script didn't work. It looks like it can't locate the BMP file, it muxing but there is no sub picture in the menu at all.
I used DVDSubEdit instead of Subrip to get BMP file of sub pic, but I think it shouldn't make a difference right?... Converting to .FLV in FFMpeg does not support threads.
Flash 9 and later supports h264 in an MP4 container. This will work with multiple threads.

You can operate directly on the ac3 file, if you wish. Just check to make sure that it's complete. How can I make a playlist there and how to keep it's window size when it's playing videos that are different sizes? I found an option for keeping it on the top of the other windows. I think I also need to find some skin for it since the original appearanc ... Extract video from DVD - Bitrates are the major issues. The templates are simply too low (unless Vegas 8 ups the numbers). But these won't change your running times.
When you render from Vegas make sure you aren't rendering a region, but the entire timeline.... Suggestions for DVD > Audio program? - It would have helped if you told us FIRST that you used win98 :)
I didn't think of it at the time since about a dozen or so other DVD processing programs I am using work fine under Win98.
